Scientific evidence ISTDP

Hard scientific facts regarding the effectiveness of ISTDP are important to show that it typically works faster and better than some other forms of psychotherapy. Unfortunately, of course, one cannot just show videos of the therapy sessions online, which would probably have a very clearly convincing effect.

One of the great researchers in ISTDP therapy is Dr. Allan Abbass, Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology and affiliated with Dalhousie University in Canada. With more than 250 scientific publications to his name, and 300 invitation-to-invitation presentations around the world, he explains why ISTDP is sometimes up to 10 times as effective if compared to usual therapy. In addition, IT has been shown that ISTDP shows impressive results in certain medically unexplained symptoms, tics, and conversion disorders. Videos of treatment effects in these disorders are very impressive.
